Elements
(always feel free to diverge, interpret broadly or skip prompts as your creative process demands)
I love a kit with a lot of variety in the elements. I think an important thing to consider when making elements is that a wide variety of textures are included.
Apr 13 - 3 flowers, make sure there is some variety so they can be used together and not look too matchy matchy
Apr 14 - 4 basic shapes (stars, hearts, arrows, etc) but add interesting texture (again, Photoshop styles will be a big help!)
Apr 15 - 3 buttons/brads/flairs
Apr 16 - 2 sequins or scatters
Apr 17 - 3 paint splatters
Apr 18 - 2 frames
Apr 19 - 2 bows or ribbons

Very Nice.
I have several deadlines this week and really do not have time but I just cant resist a challenge. Thanks Marisa! Emerald, I like how you group your shapes!
Amazing elements everyone! Thanks for sharing!
LOVE THIS
This is what I have so far. I made all 3 weeks here. ( I followed the shapes instructions pretty loosely...)
So pretty!!
love it!!!! Colorful without being garish. I imagine a lot of opportunities for all sorts of layouts.
here are my results for week 3
Pretty colors
We didn't go to New Hampshire today/tomorrow as planned, so I finished weeks 3 and 4 today.
Glad you’re making use of these prompts Christina! Love seeing what you made.
Thank you, Marisa! I noticed a significant difference in having everything to make laid out beforehand. Took much less time than normal. I think I'm going to start doing that rather than winging it as I go along.
I just love the challenges. They are such valuable tool to generate new ideas, and approach kits from fresh perspectives.
I often work from a list. Sometimes designers include and element list in their description and I will copy/paste that into a text document and work from that. Or I'll just generate my own list and go from there. It definitely helps!
Robin: Yes, it's a good thing to get ideas and inspiration from others.
Marisa: I seriously couldn't believe how quickly I created that kit with everything laid out in front me...a few days compared to a week or more. So, yeah, it definitely does indeed help!
